This was hysterical! I can so identify!! I just wished I had come up with as many snappy thoughts, might have eased my guilt ridden-uncertain conscious later. Thanks Katie! :)

Subject: Associates : the electronic library support staff journal

G'day from Western Australia. Just one question:

I am the acting-cataloguer at Central TAFE in Perth, Western Australia. Here at Central we conduct a Library Technician's course. We thought Associates would be of interest to our students. Can we make a hard copy of Associates to place in the library?

I eagerly await your reply.

[Editors: Of course! We appreciate your interest.]

This is Lew Armstrong down at Emporia State. The dissertation and theses sites were forwarded to me and many will be added to our site called Web Based Resources at http://www.emporia.edu/libsv/ejw/index.htm

Enjoy!

[Editors: Linda Putnam's article in the March 2001 issue was written is response to the frequently asked question at her information desk: How do I find Dissertations and Theses from other Universities? Thanks, Lew, for adding some of these sites to you website. And, look below to see what was recently requested.]

Dear Linda,

Your excellent list of ETDs was forwarded to me. We'd like to use it or link to it - and give you credit (from the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire McIntyre Library web page).

Do you have a web page with this information? If not, could we use the list I received from: The Superhighway:
Library Resources In A Changing World Pt. 3: Theses and Dissertations

Thanks in advance.

Elizabeth B. Richmond, Assistant Professor
Reference Department
McIntyre Library
University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
