The Council on Library/Media Technicians, Inc., is pleased to
announce a new service for its members and the library community:

The Speaker Information Exchange (SIE). The SIE will act as a
clearing house between speakers and those needing their services.

Potential speakers will fill out a registration form listing
contact information, a short synopsis of their topic and a short
biographical sketch. This information will be filed in a speaker
information database. Those requesting information on possible
speakers will contact the SIE. The SIE will search the database
and provide speaker information to the requestor. All further
contact and negotiations with the speaker will be the
responsibility of the requesting agent. All search requests must
be submitted in writing.

Access to the Speaker Information Exchange will be free to COLT
members. Non-members who wish to register with the SIE or
request a search may be do free of charge during 1994. After
December 31, 1994, there will be a nominal registration
fee/search for non-COLT members.

If you wish to register your services as a speaker with the COLT
Speaker Information Exchange, please send your name and address
to the Council on Library/Media Technicians, Inc. An enrollment
form will be sent to you.
