Instructors:
Toni Harrell has thirteen years of experience as an educator, seven of those as a library media specialist in the Lawrence, Kansas, school system. She has been involved with a number of school projects including the integration of technology for her building and school district. Toni is especially interested in how patrons and students use electronic resources to find information. She received her MLS from Emporia State University in 1992.
Janet Anderson-Story have nearly twenty years of support staff experience in public and academic libraries. She have worked in the reference and children's departments of the Lawrence Public Library and as Stacks Supervisor for Watson Library at the University of Kansas. She received her MLS from ESU in 1994 and served as Assistant to the Dean of the School of Library and Information Management for two years. She has been active in continuing education for library employees since the early 1990s.
LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM ONLINE
Rose State, a two-year college in Midwest City, which is outside of Oklahoma City, has been offering a Library Technical Assistant program for close to 20 years. They are beginning to offer it over the Internet. Here's the address for more information:

The School of Information and Library Studies at the University at Buffalo, an accredited library school, will be offering two Internet Distance Learning classes:

Students will be able to take these courses in the privacy of their homes, office, local library or any location with a computer connected to the Internet. Specific times and days are not as rigidly adhered to in Distance Learning courses so students can work these courses around their busy work, home and personal schedules. Exchanging and sharing information takes place on the class WebBulletinBoard (WBB), Chat Room and CD-ROMs. Students from any point on the globe can take this course.
