Tinker Massey, the featured speaker, is a nationally known, motivational speaker who currently hails as a library technical assistant from the Thomas Cooper Library, at the University of South Carolina. She has been a speaker at many conferences and workshops, helped form several paraprofessional organizations and conferences, and a self-published book for children in 2001 entitled, "Family Memories". "The Rhythm of Library Change: Becoming Part of the Composition", the main theme of the conference, deals with the elements of change and how to make the erratic staccato of work life become a smooth, controlled ebb and flow of adventure and development for each individual and the library system. Massey and conference attendees will explore technological change, personal development, training, mentoring and restructuring as it influences individuality and customer services. This conference will be of interest to persons working in special libraries, public libraries, as well as, research libraries. There is something of interest and value for everyone.
