Jim Stewart and Ric Bailey from Plymouth Rocket, Inc. offered ASSOCIATES a one-year free demonstration subscription to EventKeeper. I accepted the offer and said that I would write a review of my experiences for ASSOCIATES. My first review was in ASSOCIATES, November 2003 (Volume 10, Number 2). You may see the first product review at: http://associates.ucr.edu/we1103.htm

From December 2003 to March 24, 2004, we had 5 different individuals and organizations add their own events through EventKeeper. One person to do so was John Burke at Miami University Middletown in Middletown, Ohio. When I asked him what he thought of the product, he said: I like the EventKeeper quite well. It made it easy to add the event. I hope it works as well on your end. Thanks so much!

Also, because of the ASSOCIATES EventKeeper calendar, a conflict of dates was noticed between the NELA and the NYLA conferences. Jim Stewart at EventKeeper wrote me and said: Thought you'd like to modify your Associates calendar to reflect a change in the NELA Conference dates. The Conference will be held September 26-28, 2004, at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, NH. The dates were changed to avoid a conflict with New York Library Association.

The ASSOCIATES EventKeeper has become so popular with ASSOCIATES website users, that we have added an option to go directly to the EventKeeper Calendar from the ASSOCIATES Home Page. We had over 700 visits to the calendar since November 12, 2003.

Please send me your comments on our new calendar and I will include them in the July 2004 issue. Feel free to directly add your events at any time--but you might want to check the calendar first to see if you have a conflict with another conference!
