CONNECTICUT SUPPORT STAFF HONORED
The Connecticut Library Association in conjunction with its Library Technical Assistants Section was pleased to present its 1st annual SUPPORT STAFF and SUPPORTER OF SUPPORT STAFF awards on April 18 at its annual conference. The entire paraprofessional staff at the Cora J. Belden Library in Rocky Hill was the proud recipient of the SUPPORT STAFF award. They were honored for their commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm. They are a wonderful group of people who perform their jobs with the goal of serving their patrons in the best possible way and having their library be a place that folks enjoy coming to. They represent the best that our profession has to offer.
The SUPPORTER OF SUPPORT STAFF award was presented to Betsy Bray, Director of the Cora J. Belden Library. Ms. Bray's recognition of her staff's abilities and her commitment to their professional growth represent just some of the reasons for her receiving this award. She encourages her staff to take on new responsibilities and recognizes their contributions. The combination of a great staff and a great director is what makes the Cora J. Belden Library beloved by its patrons. The LTA Section and the Connecticut Library Association salute and congratulate them on their achievement.
